I saw both episodes and fell in love with Joe.  When he went out and
said that he is into Shakspeare and has written and directed shor
films, I almost cried.  That is exactly what I'm into!  Does anyone
have any info or pics of him?  I'm really sad he is off the show.

At first, I would have been jealous over Scarlet, but
now it is Mindi - all the way.

I think it is either:
1) Chuck - because he was showing an interest in her when he taught
her to play chess
OR
2) Shawn - because he is her partner and he spends the most time with
her.
I hope there is a romance because the guys need some confidence.

Some do have acting experience (well, I know ONE has a little under
his belt) but aren't professional actors, no.  I can confirm that yes,
one of the Geeks IS a member of Mensa and YES they ARE using his real
first name as it's spelled on his Driver's License.

I'm am so sad that Joe left this week. I really didn't like Erika but
I wanted them so stay on the show. But I think he is just the nicest,
sweetest guy (from what I've seen) and if anyone has any info or other
pics of him, I would be very thankful. It breaks my heart to see him
leave. I don't even know if I want to continue watching... but I guess
I will.

I know these girls aren't the brightest, and I really hate to say that
they are what contributes to the stereotype of models, etc. But of all
the "beauties", which (based on the one episode that has aired) do you
think has the best chance of actually succeeding at this game? Or more
appropriately which lady, independent of the "geek" she is teamed with,
is the smartest or has the best chance of learning and keeping
something from this experience? Personally I think they will all learn
something, mostly about themselves and that "geeks" aren't as bad as
the "geek" stereotype portrays them. But I think the girl that is the
smartest is Mindi. Mindi is in a sorority, so you already know that she
has to at least be in some sort of a university, so she has some sort
of intellect. Also based on her personality which can be derived by the
way she acted around her "geek" she is a really sweet individual. But
that's just my two cents worth.

I might be all the opposite I love reality shows. I don't watch most
30 min "comedy" shows because they are scripted laugh track
monstrosities but real/regular people mixed with wanna be actors on
crazy adventures baring their lives to the world heheheheh

Big Brother has been my favorite then Apprentice, I skip Idol, Amazing
Race and Survivor I can take or leave.

Anyway about this show Kyle why are you mad at Erika? People can't
help who they 'click' with! lol

And it's not like the couples were based on anything serious they were
almost randomly put together. I think the personal hook up thing is
cute.....kinda sad for those that don't make personal connections but
still.

Glad for your renewing hope keep watchin.

I've just joined the club.  Normally with the possible exception of
Donald Trump's show, I avoided reality shows with a passion.  I'm
making an exception with Beauty and the Geek.  I actually love it.  I
was kind of hoping Erika would be off the show.  I think its cruel of

the women department.  Had a couple of bad experiences that left me
pretty much gun shy with attractive women.  I'm still working on
getting past that and this show gives me hope.

David in this day and age it's perhaps normal if not down right
appropriate to question everything.

Like why the show cast a net for mensa geeks and caught and kept Brad...

Some fairly interesting points are raised here, but that's another
topic... I was out on a business trip and missed both times they
showed the show, but I went to college with Brad and, while we are all
"geeky" in our own way, he does not fit the defination of a geek. As
much as we partied and he was out, you would've have guessed he was
walking around w/ a 150 IQ. We always knew he was smart, but didn't
know that much. haha. Brad is defiantly a cool guy and I hope he does
well. :)  On a side note, I was told that he got on the show b/c he
was up in NY, saw a casting call sign looking for Mensa members and
thought he would give it a shot.  They told him it was going to be a
big brother show for smart people, it wasn't till later that they let
him know what was really going on (I don't think he would let anyone
label him as a geek, well, maybe for 250K!).

An interesting thought you have there, sad and scary if it be true.

But I think the raw emotions that the show I am sure evoked from many
who watched can't be unfelt.

Why are you moving to GA?

I love the show too because it brought out the best in these women.
Pretty women are usually seen as shallow, mean, snobby, gold diggers
but real women are helpful,loving and caring.

It's interesting watching how other ppl exist. I am not a geek or a
hottie but I understand how ppl get stuck in roles in society and then
don't know how to get out because they can't see their way out. Not
that there is no way to help them think differently and change their
approach, learn a few things and start to belong.

I hope this show helps those who watch to make the transitions they
need to bust out of their shells.

It won't be funny if this is a gag show.

It was so good I was bummed when the hour was over ggrrr how will I

Hmmm I haven't looked into it but if what you say is true it's not
unusual. For wanna be actors reality tv is....exposure! And we all
know there is no such thing as bad publicity hehehehehe

Plus millions of ordinary ppl just wanna be on the tube or make a
quick few bucks so they try whatever comes their way. Shoot I would if
the right thing came along and I was available.

Do you think the show is somehow rigged? I do wonder where they got
the housemates from especially since most of the guys are not that bad.

A few are down right cute. Not what I really expected at all.

Hello all...

I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Albert Grassia.  I am
27 and from Cleveland, OH (yet soon to be atlanta).  I can relate to
the guys on the show.. I mean I havent had much luck with the ladies.
I have dated a few times but not much luck of actually getting a
girlfriend.  It has been a few years since i have dated but that was
after my Fiance and I broke up.

Anyhow... I was watching this show last night and realized that I love
this show.  And then I had a thought, What if this was a huge plan of
Kutcher to "Punk" America?  I mean we are talking about Ashton here
and the host had a show last season that was looking for a "WB
Superstar" only to look for the worst singer in the US.

What are your thoughts...

My roomie from last year is on it. Yay for Mindi. I can't wait to watch!

my cheerleading coach, krystal tini, who is also a member of the
philadelphia 76ers dance team, is on the show 'beauty and the geek',
which is supposed to air sometime soon. i really don't know much
about the show because she can't tell us anything, but from what i've
been reading online, i think it's going to be a success. plus ashton
kutcher is a genius when it comes to tv shows, so i think it'll be
great.
