Following the success of last year's water-cooler show "Showbiz Moms
and Dads," Bravo turns its cameras to the world of competitive dog
shows. Think "Best in Show" -- but all real. This new eight-part series
features five unique "families" (pooches and their human "parents")
from around the country. These folks juggle careers, family and bank
accounts in order to see their canine crowned "top dog." We'll meet the
Miami couple that treats their German shepherds like children, and
couple from Seattle with a longhaired Chihuahua just entering its first
competition. Sounds like a hoot to me!

Put together one very run-down house, a deserving family, several
opinionated designers, seven days and what do you get? The answer is
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The show's successful first season garnered an Emmy nomination for
Outstanding Reality Program. As this ratings-rich reality series
enters its second season, each self-contained episode features a
race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least
four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors
and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally
rebuild an entire house — every single room, plus the exterior and
landscaping.

The lives of the lucky families are forever changed when they learn
that they have been selected to have their home walls moved, their
floors replaced and even their façades radically changed. The result
should be a decorator's delight… if it can be done in time.

Each episode begins with team leader Ty Pennington's now-
famous "Good morning!" wake-up call, when he, along with the other
designers, surprises the unsuspecting family with news that their
home has been chosen to receive a makeover. Then viewers witness not
only the unbelievable transformation of the house, but during the
final and emotional reveal, they see how the home makeover has
impacted the lives of the deserving families.

The first season of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was able to bring
extreme happiness to several families. Some of those projects
included enlarging the home of a couple expecting triplets,
rebuilding a house for eight children who had just lost their
parents, giving a facelift to an entire community whose homes were
flooded during a hailstorm, and remodeling the living space of a
wheelchair-bound young man by making it more accessible — which
included the installation of an elevator. In addition the makeover
team did a special live episode, during which they remodeled the New
York apartment of two firefighters — in just 12 hours!

The design team who work their creative magic on the homes are team
leader and carpenter Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo (carpentry/nuts &
bolts), Paige Hemmis (carpentry/creativity), Tracy Hutson
(shopping/style), Michael Moloney (interiors/glamour), Constance
Ramos (building/planning) and Preston Sharp (exteriors/big ideas).

Project Greenlight 3, the third edition of the Emmy-nominated behind-
the-scenes filmmaking series that formerly aired on HBO, premiered
on Bravo on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 10pm (PDT).

While critically-acclaimed and backed by the star power of executive
producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, Project Greenlight's first two
editions failed to draw many viewers to either its HBO broadcasts or
the movie theater screenings of the Miramax films resulting from the
efforts of its aspiring filmmakers. As a result, the show that
chronicles the challenges of first-time writers and directors given
the opportunity of a lifetime has a new second chance opportunity of
its own -- a new broadcast network and a chance to document a
different genre of film. It will be fun to watch a film being made
and we do not have to pay for HBO.

But after striking out at the box office with two consecutive coming
of age dramas (the original Project Greenlight series produced Pete
Jones' Stolen Summer), Miramax decided that, similar to HBO, it also
needed a better return for its million dollar bankrolling of the
production of the show's films. As such, rather than producing
another touching and heartfelt independent drama, Project Greenlight
3 chose to focus on a potentially much more commercial (and
completely opposite) genre -- the horror film genre in which it has
experienced much success via its Dimension Films label (Scream,
Halloween, The Others, etc.)

While a decent trailer alone would probably have ensured that,
behind-the-scenes bickering or not, Greenlight 3's horror film would
shatter the pitiful lifetime box office performances of Stolen
Summer ($134,736) and Shaker Heights ($280,351), Miramax didn't just
settle for doing a horror film. Instead, they also convinced horror
film legend Wes Craven to join its production of the film, a
decision that should all but ensure a profitable return on its $1
million production investment.

Entitled Feast and featuring a plot involving an isolated bar
ravaged by cannibalistic creatures, Project Greenlight 3's film was
written by aspiring screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan
and will be directed by first time director John Gulager. Over the
course of nine one-hour episodes, Project Greenlight 3 will follow
Feast through the entire filmmaking process -- from the selection of
the script, through production and editing, and ending with the
film's eventual release.

Project Greenlight 3 is executive produced for Miramax Television by
Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Moore and Sean Bailey of LivePlanet
along with Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Magical Elves.

The cable channel has committed to 10 episodes of the reality series,
which revolves around the real-life mother and daughter team of Lisa
and Brittny Gastineau as they search for true love across the country.
The pair are the ex-wife and daughter, respectively, of New York Jets
football player Mark Gastineau. True Entertainment is behind the
project, which was originally announced by the company four months ago,
with Steven Weinstock and Glenda Hersh executive producing. "Girls"
bows Tuesday, February 1 on the network.

Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Aimee have pulled out of performing
in the London production of The Vagina Monologues, because Aimee has
been struck down with an undisclosed illness.

Aimee, 21, had been set to begin her run with her mother in the West
End production of the show on Tuesday (05APR05).

In a statement, a spokeswoman says the family has flown to Los
Angeles so that Aimee can have "further treatment and rest".

The representative says, "They were both very much looking forward
to appearing in the show, but Sharon's focus now has to be on the
family and, more importantly, Aimee's health."

Aimee's illness comes at the end of a string of bad incidents for
the unlucky Osbourne family. On 25 March (05), Sharon and her
husband Ozzy were forced to flee their English country mansion after
a fire broke out in the living room.

Ozzy unsuccessfully tackled a thief as he raided the same house and
stole a large amount of jewellery in November (04). And in December
2003, Ozzy was in a coma for eight days after breaking his
collarbone, several ribs and a neck vertebrae in a quad bike
accident on the grounds of the property.

Pop star Ashlee Simpson is re-teaming with shoe company Candie's to
raise awareness about teen pregnancy.

The Pieces of Me singer, who worked with Candie's in the autumn (04) to
encourage people to vote, will co-headline The Event to Prevent concert
on 3 May (05) at New York City's Gotham Hall.

The Candie's Foundation event will also feature Jewel and will honor US
news woman Katie Couric and actress Jane Fonda.

British model Caprice, Pink's biker boyfriend Corey Hart, and
Sylvester Stallone's ex Janice Dickinson will be among the stars of
the upcoming new series of US celebrity reality show Surreal Life.



The trio will join shamed former baseball player Jose Canseco, Salt-
N-Pepa star Sandi Denton, actor Bronson Pinchot and reality TV diva
Omerosa Manigault-Stallworth when the fifth season of the bizarre

In the show, which is now in production, a group of celebrities are
