Greetings all!  I was so blessed to have the opportunity to see Ace in
Grease.  It was a night I will never forget.  I've read many posts here
and other places talking about how nice he is, but they did not prepare
me for having the experience first hand.  I could go on and on, but the
reason for my post is that I did not see the GMA segment this morning.
If anyone can post it online I'm sure we would all appreciate it.  At
least tell us what he said if you saw the interview.  What are his
plans after Grease?  Blessings to everyone, Gaye from Houston :)

Okay, I come baring my soul, which isn't easy for me, especially regarding this
issue.



I took up the habit of smoking back in late August, after having
previously been quit for the most part for over 10 years.   I feel like
a complete FAILURE.  I'm a christian, and I KNOW better than to abuse
my body, the temple that God gave to me, for HIS GLORY !!!



I NEED to quit, and have made today MY DAY TO STOP - by Midnight!  I am getting
PANICKY.



I NEED to QUIT because I really never could AFFORD to smoke, but now
without any current INCOME, I absolutely HAVE to quit.  Its either that
or bum them.  LOL



I NEED to QUIT because I'm dealing with diabetes, fibromyalgia and
vasculitis.  I know, WHY WOULD I EVER HAVE STARTED BACK UP? !  I was
WEAK and STUPID. No excuses.



Have you dealt with having to quit before?  I need motivation, I need
encouragement and I need tips or suggestions.  HOW did you do it?  What
steps did you take? Etc.

Smiling warmly amid the flashing bulbs of paparazzi at the Times Square Planet
Hollywood, Ace Young seems ready made for Broadway and the hit revival of
Grease. Having first come to national attention as a finalist in Season 5 of
American Idol, Young’s rise has been fast and filled with remarkable choices.
Whether playing a role on the television series Bones, or writing a hit single
with American Idol Hit Man Daughtry, Young doesn’t shy away from a challenge and
seems to welcome each new experience.

“I didn’t think I’d get to be on Broadway this early in my career,” he confessed
during an interview with www.Broadway.tv shortly after his debut as Kenickie in
Grease. In some sense, there is a poetry to the fact that he’s making his debut
in the hit musical revival. “When I saw Grease I was actually a little kid,”
smiles Ace, “I remember walking and I said to myself that if I ever get to play
any part I want to be Kenickie.”

Ace loves Grease. He is enthusiastic about dancing on the car in the show,
appreciative for his fellow cast members, and already seems to enjoy the
experience of Broadway. Before making his debut, Ace benefitted from a bit of
American Idol Broadway inside information having spoken with Talyor Hicks.
American Idol Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks spent the summer as the Teen Angel in
Grease. “Taylor gave me a lot of advice that I can’t say on camera,” grins Ace,
“But he and I are really good friends…He gave me a lot of ins and outs. So, I
felt very comfortable tonight when we kicked it off.”

Taking a minute to think back on his American Idol experience, Ace is reflective
about how that one experience has influenced so much that has come after. What
did he tell Broadway.tv he liked most about his Idol experience? “Just being in
everybody’s homes. Being on everybody’s minds once you get off the show,” says
Ace, “Being able to be myself. I mean, that’s huge. If I didn’t get to be
myself, I wouldn’t have been on Bones. I wouldn’t have done any of the stuff I
did. I wouldn’t have been able to do the album I wanted. I wouldn’t have met
Daughtry. He wouldn’t be my best friend. I wouldn’t have wrote “It’s Not Over.”
I wouldn’t be in New York.”

Putting the past behind, Ace looks ahead to the future, telling Broadway.tv that
he has lot of things up his sleeve. For the present though, he’s in Grease on
Broadway through January 18. It is another chapter in the ever evolving and
always interesting career of Ace Young. Go greased lightening!

Ace Young, a finalist on the hit Fox TV singing competition "American Idol,"
makes his Broadway debut Sept. 11 in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of
Grease at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
Young, who is making his Main Stem bow two days later than originally announced,
steps into the role of bad-boy Kenicke. He is scheduled to stay with the
production through Jan. 18, 2009.
Denver, CO, native Ace Young was a finalist on the fifth season of "American
Idol." He has appeared on the sitcoms "Half & Half" and "Bones" and was
Grammy-nominated for co-writing "It's Not Over" for Chris Daughtry. Young
released the single "Addicted" in April 2008, and his debut solo recording, "Ace
Young," is now available on the Pazzo Music/Fontana label.
The current cast of Grease, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall,
includes Ashley Spencer as Sandy and Derek Keeling as Danny with Janine DiVita
as Rizzo, Ryan Patrick Binder as Doody, Susan Blommaert as Miss Lynch, Will Blum
as Roger, Jeb Brown as Vince, Allison Fischer as Patty, Robyn Hurder as Marty,
Lindsay Mendez as Jan, Jose Restrepo as Sonny, Matthew Saldivar as Kenickie,
Jamison Scott as Eugene, Kirsten Wyatt as Frenchy and Stephen Buntrock as Teen
Angel. The ensemble comprises Josh Franklin, Natalie Hill, Matthew Hydzik, Keven
Quillon, Allie Schultz, Brian Sears, Christina Sivrich, Amber Stone and Anna
Aimee White.
"After spending a hopelessly devoted summer with Sandy Dumbrowski (Spencer), the
new girl in town," Grease press notes state, "Danny Zuko's (Keeling) world is
thrown upside down when Sandy appears at Rydell High on the first day of school.
What follows is a rock 'n' roll celebration of growin' up, cruisin' with friends
and goin' steady."
Grease features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Martin
Pakledinaz, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and sound design by Brian Ronan.
Grease features book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The new
production also boasts songs from the hit 1978 film, which co-starred John
Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Among the film songs heard in the Broadway
revival are "Sandy," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "Grease" and "You're the One
That I Want."
The new cast recording of Grease is available on the Masterworks Broadway label.
After playing an Off-Broadway engagement at the Eden Theatre, Grease debuted on
Broadway in June 1972 at the Broadhurst with a cast that included Barry Bostwick
(Danny), Carole Demas (Sandy) and Adrienne Barbeau (Rizzo). The musical closed
in April 1980, after playing 20 previews and 3,388 performances. The 1994
revival cast Rosie O'Donnell in the role of Rizzo.
Grease is produced on Broadway by Paul Nicholas and David Ian, Nederlander
Presentations, Inc. and Terry Allen Kramer by arrangement with Robert Stigwood.

I did that the first day...I had a few minutes to run over to the Target that is
in the mall where I work and I literally didn't see any on the shelf or even the
little price label saying it was in that spot so I went and asked.  The employee
looked at me like I had 7 heads and asked if I was sure it was out like 7 times
I said yes I know it was out on that day and I even pointed tot he little sign
they had thst said now available.  I told her I even saw it in their sales
paper.  She went to customer service and looked in the paper and found that it
was in there and finally looked in her little hand held gun thing and said they
didn't have any.  So I went to customer service and asked for another Target
number and called them on my way back to work.  I spoke with the employee in
electronics and he went and looked for me. He came back on the phone asking if I
was sure it was out and then looked and said well their computer says they have
it but he
  couldn't find it then asked if I knew what type of music it was...I told him I
wasn't sure but it was either rock or pop.  He said he couldn't find any but he
would continue looking and if he found any he would hold it for me.  I went
there after work and looked and found 2 copies of the cd not the combo on the
shelf so I bought it.  You know I went to the Target in the mall I work in the
day after and they still didn't have any and I went to the other one the other
day to see if they had any of the combos on the shelf and all they had was the
cd.  I went back to the Target in the mall today and they had the spot filled
with his cd and I was going to ask if they had the combo but he was busy.  So I
can check one more Target for the combo and if they don't have it then I'll have
to find someone who can find it get me a copy of the combo and send it to me and
I will send them a check for it.  I'm getting annoyed though this is the first
cd I am
  having trouble finding I never in my life had this much trouble.

Hi all!

I shopped at a Target in northwest Houston.? Ace's beautiful face was on the
poster of new releases but no CD's to be found.? An employee happened to be
doing inventory with his handheld machine so I asked him to check stock on the
Ace Young CD/DVD combo Target was offering.? He said "Ace who"?? Ok, it was hard
not to slap the kid but I held back and smiled saying the name again!!? He said
they showed some in stock and he would check the back.? Out he came with a copy
of my very own!!? He added 2 or 3 others to the shelf.? If your Target uses the
handheld for inventory control it should be easy to find out if they have some.?
Be persistent even if they don't know who you are talking about!!!

All I can say is wow!? The pics are great although I really love to see Ace
smile!? It's great to hear so much of him over and over and over!!

I bought mine from Target as well, but only the CD. There were no special
purchases with a DVD at the Target here in Sugar Land, TX. After I bought mine
early yesterday afternoon, there was only one left. Not sure whether they only
had a few or that it sold that quick. I would like to think the latter. I also
bought it on Itunes for my ipod. None of the drives on my computer work so I
needed to do it this way. Besides Ace will get credit for it so that's a good
thing. I also plan to buy another to send to a friend of mine. If anyone hears
numbers sold the first week, I would like that information. Thanks. Oh and I
must say, it's a great CD, well worth the wait. I really love "You Redeem Me"!

I agree  Gaye!

I found it interesting that the cd's, which were few, were in the  middle of
no where, and hard to find.

Keep showing interest in the  stores you go to cause it will help them to put
more copies on the shelf, even  if you already have yours.

Also, because I have a few extra dollars, I am buying some copies for
friends while they are only 10 dollars. Its not something I can always do, but 
when

Hi all!

I shopped at a Target in northwest Houston.? Ace's beautiful face was on the
poster of new releases but no CD's to be found.? An employee happened to be
doing inventory with his handheld machine so I asked him to check stock on the
Ace Young CD/DVD combo Target was offering.? He said "Ace who"?? Ok, it was hard
not to slap the kid but I held back and smiled saying the name again!!? He said
they showed some in stock and he would check the back.? Out he came with a copy
of my very own!!? He added 2 or 3 others to the shelf.? If your Target uses the
handheld for inventory control it should be easy to find out if they have some.?
Be persistent even if they don't know who you are talking about!!!

All I can say is wow!? The pics are great although I really love to see Ace
smile!? It's great to hear so much of him over and over and over!!

Target takes forever to get new CDs out....   I work at Target here
in Southern Cali....  I haven't checked if our Target has gotten it
in yet (cuz I got mine at Wal-Mart :) ),  but I have tried to get CDs
and DVDs there on the day they come out, but they didn't have it in
yet...   So give it a few days.. I may see about getting the CD/DVD
combo, just cuz I get a discount on it... :)  Also,  do ya'll know if
the song "Don't Go" by Ace is available as a single on iTunes,  I
know you can get it if you buy the album on iTunes,  but I don't
wanna have to get the entire album again just for that one song...  :)

I didn't...yet but I will listen for it now.  I had to go to 2 Targets here in
Massachusetts to get one copy.  I went to the Target in Everett, Ma during my
lunch break and asked and they didn't have any so then I went to customer
service and asked for the number for the next closest one which was in Revere,
