Stephen Robert Irwin 22 Feb 1962 - 4 Sep 2006
You will be greatly missed, Steve.
The fans of Steve Irwin - the Crocodile Hunter - offer our condolences to the Irwin family during this time of grief. We came together because of the Irwin family's love of wildlife and we stand together now.
The legacy Steve leaves behind is one of wonder and respect for the animals we share the earth with and the work we must do to protect their habitat. If we've learned anything at all from Steve, it's that one man, or one woman, CAN make a difference in this world.
Steve changed more than the way we watch TV. He taught us to admire and see the beauty in apex predators and all the animal kingdom. He was a true embassador for those who couldn't speak for their plight. He's encouraged many to pursue careers in animal science, pick up a camera, and to embrace life with passion and energy.
Steve Irwin will live on through our efforts to help wildlife.
Donations may be made directly to the
Wildlife Warriors Worldwide fund. The Wildlife Warrior site is the only official site designated by Australia Zoo and the Irwin family to take donations. Several sites have recently shown up online claiming affiliation with the family, but they are not. Donate only to the Wildlife Warriors fund if you wish to make a donation to one of Steve's causes.
We are a fan based group and offer no OFFICIAL information regarding the Croc Hunter or the Australia Zoo staff. The only sites that can claim official affiliation with Australia Zoo are the Australia Zoo website and The Wildlife Protection Association of Australia or those sites listed specifically on the Australia Zoo website.
