Whoa, that's disturbing. At least he's out in the open, can be
watched. I just hope this isn't his way of distracting people, and
that something else is going on. This reminds me of the The North

I'd like to catch the marathon. It's during AniZona, so I'll have to record it.

Could you please clarify what you mean by Channel 51?

Channel assigments are different in different cities, cable systems, or satellite providers.

On my cable box, 51 is Comedy Central. This is an unlikely home for Galactica, unless it's a South Park version (Wouldn't that be cool).

On broadcast in central and north Phoenix, Channel 51 is Pax I could see Pax doing an old-school Galactica thing, especially if the Ship of Lights is involved.

Be careful, one tenth of a percent of people who watch Pax become Reavers.

SciFi Channel (50 on my box) runs daytime Classic Galactica marathons on weekdays now and then, usually with no advance promotion.

According to TV Week, J. Michael Straczynski's "Jeremiah" is among
several shows that have just been syndicated to local television
stations for weekend airings starting this fall. It will run in
rotation with three other sci-fi series syndicated by MGM.

Before they became regulars on BSG, Tricia Helfer (Number Six) was cast
in Jeremiah's pilot, Kandyse McClure (Petty Officer Dualla) in seven
episodes, and Alessandro Juliani (Lt. Felix Gaeta) in one episode.

And add an Amen! and a Hallelujah! to that.

My family are all chosen since the birth family decided to shun me
for quitting drinking, going to grad school, getting ordained, and oh
yeah, speaking up about the insanity and child abuse.

Yep, since then, I've chosen my family and love 'em to bits.

I was never a big fan of the original bsg, and wasn't a particularly big fan of Star Wars.  Being a Trekkie at the time, the story lines were extremely lame (in BSG, star wars was just a rehash of some other old story set in space).  I'm more a content person than an sfx person

BSG Classic was very much into lifted plots: Shane, Guns of Navarone, etc. Even the Mad magazine satire made jokes about it at the time.

If I were seeing the old BSG for the first time in my forties, I'd roll my eyes.

But like I said, I was a teenage geekboy at the time.

I'm very glad the new series is more suitable for the old and crusty.

Subject: Dick Cheney to Join Wolfram & Hart
im_germancit...
Send Email Send Email

TeeVee.org April Fool's news Angel

LOS ANGELES, March 31 - In a surprise announcement, international law firm Wolfram & Hart confirmed today that Vice President Dick Cheney would become CEO of its Los Angeles branch following his departure from the White House in 2009.

"I'm proud of the record I've amassed during my years of public service," the Vice President said in a statement released by his office yesterday, "and I'm looking forward to many more years of furthering those pursuits in the private sector. Wolfram & Hart and I share a common vision for the future of this planet, and I believe that together, nothing can stop us from achieving our mutual goals."

The move is considered a coup for the prestigious and established firm, known for its distinguished list of high-profile clients. The Vice President was expected to return to his previous post as CEO of Halliburton after leaving office, but his new job should prove a greater challenge.

Wolfram & Hart's L.A. branch has been one of the firm's most trouble-plagued divisions. A gas leak in 2003 resulted in the deaths of most of the firm's staff, while a new management team brought in the following year exited mere months later under controversial and still-mysterious circumstances, leaving considerable structural damage to the building in their wake.

Despite the upheaval, previous employees speak highly of the firm. "It was, like, a totally great place to work," former executive assistant Harmony Kendall said of her years at Wolfram & Hart. "I mean, sure, they get stereotyped as a bunch of bloodsuckers, but that's completely bogus. I totally dare you to name anyone living who'd call that place Hell on Earth. Omigod, do you think this means they'll be hiring again?"

"We've enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Mr. Cheney over the years," said Wolfram & Hart spokeswoman Lilah Morgan. "He's been a longtime client of ours, but in their dealings with him, our Senior Partners have come away deeply impressed with his personal qualities and his sense of priorities. We've been at this business a long time, but our upper management feels they still have a lot to learn from Mr. Cheney."

Morgan dismissed concerns regarding the precarious state of Cheney's health. "Given our standard contract," she said, "that shouldn't really be an issue."

(it made me laugh)
