I apologize to any list moms out there immediately. I'm having a huge
problem here.

I just wanted to warn everyone. DO NOT open any attachments you get from
me. I did not send them. I have a virus currently running through my
computer. I got this virus from opening a PIF file from a source I trusted.
I'm sure that person had no way to know that they even sent me a mail.

This virus sends an email to the FROM of each post in your inbox and renames
the infected attachment each time so being prepared for it to be called a
certain thing won't help. If you do get the virus on your computer, it
seems the only way to get it to stop sending so that you can try and fix it
is to disconnect immediately from the net and clear out your inbox (you need
not delete, you can move them to another folder). The body of the message
contains a sentence encouraging you to open the attachment.

I have it quarentined right now but in case I don't, or in case one already
sent, please take heed. Again, DO NOT open attachments from me. I would
tell you if I was sending one and I won't be doing that for a long time
after this I can tell you.

If blank posts from me have gone onto the mailing lists, it's because the
list was configured to not accept attachments. Sorry about the phantom
traffic. For lists where that is not the set up, please rethink that List
Admins. I only hope no one else has been infected through it going out on
my account.
