'Grey's Anatomy' McDoctors Unite for 'Valentine's Day'

 Valentine's Day, which was first written by Katherine Fugate followed by the team of Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, follows five interconnected love stories in Los Angeles --- similar to the concept of Love Actually but without the English accents. Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy, will play a married obstetrician, who romances Jennifer Garner on the side. Co-star Dane, on the other hand, will play a quarterback struggling with the decision to retire. Valentine's Day also boasts an ensemble of notable actors like Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Emma Roberts, Topher Grace and Hector Elizondo. There is no word yet if these two Grey's Anatomy stars will have any actual scenes together but given the large cast, it's possible that they won't have any. Mike Karz is producing with Wayne Rice. Sam Brown and Michael Disco are overseeing for the studio. Aside from Grey's Anatomy, Dempsey has appeared on Private Practice, The Practice, Once and Again and Will and Grace. In the big screen, he has starred in Made of Honor, Enchanted, Freedom Writers, and Sweet Home Alabama. As for Dane, he is credited for his roles on Gideon's Crossing, The American Embassy, Charmed and Private Practice, as well as movie roles in Marly & Me, Wedding Wars, X-Men: The Last Stand and Open Water 2: Adrift, among others.
