1. Affordability and Value
A PCTV device would cost more money to purchase than downloading a satellite TV
on PC software. The good thing is that both methods are much more affordable
than paying for monthly cable TV subscription fees.
The PCTV device would typically cost hundreds of dollars, whereas the software
download costs about $49. The software download is definitely the better option
in terms of costs.
2. Quality of Media
Having seen both methods in use, I would say that the PCTV device method
probably offers better image and sound quality, although not by much.
3. Portability and Convenience
A PCTV device would need to be carried around if you want to be able to watch TV
