I could get murdered as I sleep for this, I know...

I watched "Holiday" again this afternoon, an excellent episode.  But it left
me with... doubts.  CJ has to be Teal'c and O'Neill, and his O'Neill is
BRILLIANT!  But RDA's Teal'c isn't so hot.  Even Michael Shanks does a good
O'Neill.  So does this mean RDA can only be RDA?  Aligater knows that his
MacGyver was somewhat like his Jack.  I'm not saying this is a bad thing.  I
think his O'Neill is great after the dour O'Neil provided by Kurt Russell.
RDA is great at what he does, don't get me wrong.  We all need our RDA.

Mr Rosson, I think you must be getting confused.  As to the way I spell, the
USAF stationed me at RAF Mildenhall for the last few years, guess I've
picked up more than a dodgy accent!  Also, I think you should start taking
this kidnapping more seriously.  Maybe the evidence isn't convincing, but
the sheer weight that's accumulating should mean SOMETHING.  That
handwriting really does look like Dr. Jackson's.  It's strange that they
made him write the ransom note, presumably there was another piece of
correspondence with it?  I wouldn't discount it because the demand is for
naquadah, we know civilians know about it after the "goings on" with the
second gate.  ("Touchstone")

hurt ?!  As for  ME ... I have some GOOD news to report..........My promotion
has finally come thru and now I've made Captain (II) ! Yes I know that was a
long wait and a BIG step ... but now I'm just content to be recognized for the
diligent work I've accomplished here at SGC.  I've also been informed to pack my
bags in Nov. as I too will be heading for England to Join Dr. Frasier !    I'll

Ok, have you looked at the handwriting, the basic recognisable points of the
writing, I don't know the technical terms, but the loops and everything,
match Daniel's and it doesn't really matter if he didn't write the note
anyway, I don't see why they would pretend he wrote it, we already know they
have him, what possible purpose could forging his handwriting achieve?
Anyway, the point is that he has been kidnapped, not that he's written the
note, but if he did write it (which seems likely) he is obviously scared, as
I said on the bulletin board I believe that he was made to write it because
it would have a greater impact on me having my friend begging for my help to
save his life.

I have not been contradicting myself at all, I don't know how the kidnappers
know about Naquadah, they could have gained the information from high up
officials, I'm not saying that no one in the military or government is
involved, there was a reporter who found out classified information about
the Stargate, although he died there is no proof that he hadn't told anyone
else, or that no one else had discovered the same information.

Oh, and something unrelated, can I please remind everyone to delete
unrelated parts of the message they are replying to, particularly the
signature part, it takes longer to download, and as the list gets bigger we
may get some members who are on digest which means that they get one long
email a week containg all of the posts, if all the extra's are left in the
middle it gets excessively long and annoying. By all means leave parts of
the message that you want people to notice, but delete the unnecessary
parts, thank you.

Hey, did I miss something before when I watched "The First Commandment"?
Both TV guides I read today said that Tuesday's Channel 4 ep. sees Colonel
O'Neill investigating the disappearance of a PLANET?  I thought SG-1 was
after the lost SG team?  HOW do you search for a lost planet?
*huggermugger*  If you could go to it to investigate it's disappearance it
can hardly be classified as LOST...  Did you know the Pentagon have lost
entire COUNTRIES?  But PLANETS?  For crying out loud.

Technical Sergeant Rosson, I'm not entirely sure why Dr. Fraiser needs a PA.
What do you DO?  And how did someone with your rank get to see something
that's obviously classified BY ACCIDENT?  I don't like to pull rank, but as
an Officer I can't see how something like this could have happened.  Dr.
Fraiser obviously shouldn't have a PA, especially if you have time to spend
snooping around the facility.  She's an MD, for crying out loud, she HEALS
people.  Even Dr. Jackson doesn't normally need a PA, it's just someone has
to deal with his ongoing projects/mail while he's away.  Although when he's
here he always appreciates a well timed mug of coffee...  *wipes away a
tear*

As Dr. Jackson's PA, I have read all the information about his disappearance
very carefully.  I have come to a few conclusions about his current status,
and I feel this is the correct forum with which to vent my frustrations.

To begin with it did seem that he had just wandered off and lost track of
the time.  Northumberland is rich in archaeological remains, and I know he
had been looking forward to visiting the Hadrian's Wall area for some time.
We know that he DID help with the excavations at the Roman Fort of
Vindolanda; that was where he was last seen.  If we are to believe the
postcard he sent Col. O'Neill, he found something in Northumberland,
seemingly some sort of technology created by the Ancients.  He did not find
a third Stargate.

I personally believe that he HAS been kidnapped.  The poor quality of the
photograph we were sent would seem to be because they didn't use a camera.
I am not an expert in this area, but it looks to me as if they SCANNED his
head!  If they were able to do this, he must have been incapacitated - the
scan would not be that clear if he had moved during the process.  If he has
been kidnapped, he must be in danger.  Although his theories were somewhat
unbelievable to the archaeological community, there are some people who
would do anything to get hold of the information he knows.  Whether they
know about the Stargate programme is as yet unclear.

I was assigned to help Dr. Jackson as I majored in archaeology, and so I
feel able to comment on the Stonehenge allegations.  As I'm sure Dr. Jackson
would tell you, there is no way a Stargate could be buried inside the
monoliths.  Mr. Rosson says it is in the centre of the circle, perhaps he
does not realise that there is no empty space there?  Geophysical research
has been carried out there before, and is almost completely useless.  Such
surveys are notoriously misleading.  If the Stargate is underneath some of
the monoliths, obviously this would mean that it could only have been in use
before Stonehenge was built.  The structure was begun in c.2500 BC, although
it took 500 to a thousand years to complete.  If the Giza Stargate was
buried in around 3000 BC, this would seem to indicate that if there HAD been
two Stargates they would have been in use at the SAME TIME.  This seems very
unlikely.  The Antarctica Stargate solved a lot of chronological problems,
but a THIRD Stargate is not logical.

Also, if the kidnapping is a cover-up that the SGC knows about, why is Mr.
Rosson telling us it IS a cover-up?  Surely that defeats the purpose of
there being a cover-up?  What is this, the X-Files?  Government
conspiracies?  I know that Dr. Jackson wouldn't fake his disappearance,
certainly not without telling Col. O'Neill.  And Col. O'Neill has high
enough clearance to know about such things.  I probably shouldn't say, but I
don't know what to do without Daniel, I miss him more than words can say.
We've worked closely on various projects, and... he's... he's... oh, you
know.  Like Col. O'Neill says, hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I would like to refute the claims by Mr. Rosson, that Daniel's disappearance
is an elaborate hoax, he has indeed been kidnapped,the picture was
presumably fuzzy because the kidnappers didn't want any identifiable
environmental features, and so just sent the picture of Jackson and
blackness around him. I am becoming increasingly worried about Daniel, and
do not know when we will find him again, I only hope that he is being
treated well by the kidnappers.

As to a third Stargate, I know nothing of such a thing, it is possible that
there is one, although it seems a little unlikely that any planet would
possess three stargates, and that none of them would have been in use for
such a long time. Ralph does not explain how anyone became aware of the
existence of a third Stargate, could you explain this please.

Please believe me, I am not attempting to cover anything up, I am simply
worried about Dr. Jackson, I would not fake his disappearance as I know how
distressing that would be. OF course I cannot speak for others, it's
possible they're trying to distract me from something, and Daniel is not in
danger at all, I simply don't know, I'm working on the idea that the
kidnappers mean to harm Daniel and therefore we need to find him quickly,
Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Jackson is safe and well and all the fuss was just a cover story to explain why
all the SGC personel was being sent to England (land of those lovely little
muffins). The photos that were posted on Col.O'Neills website were very hazy 
not proving anything but stirring further controversy. I must reiterate that all
this is just dis-information sent out to confuse and cover the REAL story ! See
