Members of the 631st MSG "Fighting Ospreys" were honored during the
Region 2 Summit in Montgomery, AL.

During the opening ceremonies (March 8), Colonel Oliver Savander, CO
of the USS Tiberius/Unit DOIC, received the commissioning bottle of
champagne that was signed by Voyager actor Tim Russ at last year's
STARFLEET International Conference (IC). Photos of the presentation,
made by RC Jack Eaton & Commander STARFLEET (CS) Sal Lizard, will be
up in the 631st MSG's album soon. Barry Jackson, XO of the
Tiberius/unit member, was also promoted to the SFMC rank of Colonel.

During the 2nd Brigade Muster on March 8. Unit OIC Anne Zecca
presented the Leader's Commendation to her Deputy OIC for his
tireless efforts on behalf of the unit. Brigade OIC Wade Olson then
presented Unit OIC Zecca & Chapter XO Jackson with the Community
Service Citation. On a related note, the 631st MSG was also under
consideration for the Meritorious Unit Commendation.

During that evening's R2 awards banquet, LTC Zecca received the
Shield of Valor "for making the most significant personal impact in
community service efforts within the Brigade." She is now under
consideration for the SFMC-wide Shield of Honor award, to be given
during the IC/International Muster in June.

The "Fighting Ospreys" congratulate our members and all of the Second
Battalion who were honored during the R2 Summit & 2BDE Muster.
