thanks. that sounds like a good length for the movie.
its strange, though. it took 5 months for the book
for "Leprechauns" to hit stores, and the video will be
there in a couple of weeks, while the book for "10th
kingdom" is already out and Amazon says the video will
be out on May, 2(but nothing about the cd)

Hey, just thought I'd let you guys know, theres a novel adaptation of
10th Kingdom out (at least at the mall). And surprisingly, its not a
hundred page ripoff either, like most TV/Movie-to-book deals, its quite
large.

many thankies. sadly, according to NBC, she popped up
at the castle shortly after wendell's birth. however,
i am consoling myself with:

a) time manipulation possibilities
b) not all the info at the site seems to add up
c) in that article that i keep mentioning(and cant
find...i'll look again tomorrow) Kimberly Williams
mentioned a scene w/ Virginia and her mom.
d) the previews have Tony and Virginia looking at a
picture of the Queen in a mirror going "it can't be
her" or some such
e) somewhere or other, i saw a cast list that had
Diane Wiest as The Evil Queen/Christine

yup, LOTS of consolation(i'll be heartbroken if I'm
wrong. Have many Wolf(and Virginia) pics available
just in case)

i'd say much younger. barring the 7 when left, 14
years since she left thing(which i'm still not sure
about) she looks and acts like early twenties(even
though i'm sure the actress is older...she was in the
"Father of the Bride" movies)

   It's quite a difference.

nope. def not logical. maybe we'll hear about it
later, or maybe we aren't supposed to think about an
ge difference(i didn't until i noticed that Scott
Cohen had what looks like laugh lines around his eyes,
and i learned his age)

Hey, all... First off, is everyone seeing The 11th Kingdom with a
black background and blue text? It shows that way in preview, it
showed that way at school, but at home, it shows a white background
and black text. I know it's not that big a deal, but it really,
really annoys me. Go to http://www.geocities.com/v_wolfwillow if you
haven't and please let me know :)

Also, on the subject of the page, suggestions and submissions are
welcome. I'd like to see some fan fiction (with a world like this,
fan fiction simply *must* be written), pictures (thus far, I have
only two from the show-Wolf & Virginia and the Huntsman) and links (I
have the few I have on the mainpage for now). If you have any tips
or whatever, do let me know! I am making a webring, but I'm not

I've babbled for long enough now, so back to you guys!

First, I bow to your logic! I mean that quite
seriously. You should see how frightening it is when
I try to use logic about things... quite disturbing.
I think five years would be enough, if the queen were,
as you said, a quick study. And I imagine that she
would've had to have been or the queen wouldn't have
bothered. She must have really *wanted* to know, and
usually when people are interested, they can learn
fairly quickly (or make themselves do so).

I think the ex-con thing is tops... would be on my
list too :) And then adding in the whole going psycho
once a month thing... but I am surprised he hasn't
brought up age. Virgina strikes me as thirty at the
absolute most (and I'd really say younger, though I
could well be wrong). It's quite a difference.
::shrug:: But I've never found parental logic to be
very logical, so maybe age doesn't matter to him.

seeing as how i have nothing whatsoever to do w/ my time, i decided
to try and figure out if, timewise, the Queen could be virginia's
mom(i'm using my memory of what was said on the show, what i remember
the NBC website saying about her--for some reason, i can't access it
on the school computers, but i could at home) here goes:

what i remember being said on the show:

1) Virginia said her mom just up and disappeared 14 years ago
2) the jailer/warden/whoever it was said she'd been allowed to have
the dog for the last three years(but didn't say whether or not she'd
been there for very long before that...)in order to support my
theory, i'll say she asked for the pooch(and got it) when she
arrived(which leaves us with 11 years)

from the NBC site:

1) it says that she studied under the other queen for "years". in
television, this means anything from 2 years to 20 years
2) it says she spent 3 years worming her way into the royal family's
confidence and killing the queen(8 years left)
3) it says three more years poisoning, comforting, and marrying the
king(5 years)
(i'm very sure about the # of years, but not the details...hopefully,
i'll get to check when i get home)

this leaves us with 5 years for the other queen to train her(barring
time warps, time travel, different passages of time for the two
worlds, dimensions outside of time and all that other time stuff) if
the Queen was a quick study, do you think that's enough time for her
to learn enough?

while also on the age/time thing, i remember Virginia saying(i think)
that she was 7 when her mom left(and, looks wise, she appears to be
between 18-22) Scott Cohen is 38 or some such, and Wolf looks to be
30, minimum. is anyone else surprised that Tony hasn't added that to
his list of reasons Wolf isn't good enough for his daughter(although,
he seems content with "grubby ex-con"--and technically, Wolf is
presently a con on the lam...)?

I found this interesting :)

Entertainment Weekly; New York; Feb 25, 2000; Mike Flaherty;

Copyright Time Incorporated Feb 25, 2000

SCOTT COHEN: THE GUY YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THIS SWEEPS

SORRY, JAMES BROWN,but there's a new hardest-working man in
showbiz-at least this month. For years, Scott Cohen has tolled as a
bit player extraordinalre, appearing in everything from Law & Order
and Oz to Howard Stern's Private Parts, but lately the 35-year-old
actor has staged a veritable tube takeover. First, there was his
recent three-- episode stint as the sleazy, alcoholic Investigator
Harry Denby on NYPD glue, and this week Cohen turns up as a manimal
In NBC's sweeps fantasy The 10th Kingdom and as a detective In CBS'
JonBenet Ramsey telemovie, Perfect Murder, Perfect Town-both of which
air on Feb. 27. And, of course, there's that sexy-cute Volkswagen
ad-where Cohen's flirtation with another driver is thwarted by a
stuffed-animal-- tossing toddler in his backseat.

("People recognize me on the street from that," he says. "It's
bizarre.") Somehow, the native New Yorker found a few minutes to
talk.

Q: Is It a blessing or a curse to be competing against yourself?
A: It's kind of a drag, but hopefully people will tape one and watch
the other.

Q: So which will you be watching?
A:, I think I'll watch 10th Kingdom because I want my 4-year-old son,
Liam, to see that.

Q: In Kingdom you're a half man, half wolf who's Into self-help
books. What's up with that?
A: His desire Is to be a man, but he goes through this phase, like
PMS, where he has to eat something-a human being or a sheep or a
rabbit or whatever. And because he's In love with Virginia [costar
Kimberly Williams], he wants this to stop. So he sees a psychiatrist
and he takes all these books with him wherever he goes.

Q: Uh-huh. Which of the three roles was the most difficult?
A: NYPD Blue, definitely. I get scared of characters who have that
much depth to them. I literally stayed in my hotel for a month
working on it.

Q: All this TV work has earned you the nickname Mr. February. Now are
you coping with that?
A: Sean Whalen, who worked on Perfect Murder with me, said, "Oh, so
it's January, Scott-uary, March..." But I can't complain. I have 17
hours of television In one month. I think that might be a record.

oh yes. he did very good at psycho, and i loved it when he was
beating himself up. and i loved when he said he would eat
Virginia...don't ask me why.

i hated those shepherdesses, though(i'm blaming his interest in them
on it being his time of the month...) and the peeptown thing seemed
to be kinda filler...

yup. hope they don't come back. however, i read an article about
the show(last friday, i think. maybe i can find it) that mentioned
john larroquette fighting the troll kids, so i'm betting they'll be
back.

this was also kinda hinted at in the article(kimberly williams
mentioned having a scene w/ Virginia's mother)

it never even occurred to me! i guess i was too busy drooling at the
comedic lycanthrop frolicking about the screen [sigh]. i am in love
w/this miniseries, and was excited about it from when i first saw a
commercial for it.
btw: okay, some of you won't care, but the troll king (ed o'neal) is
the guy from Wayne's World, Dutch, & Married w/Children. i hadn't
even realized it was him.

Okay, probably not the most original name ever... but I think The
11th Kingdom is good. I made a banner using it already, but if I
decide to change it (or one of you lovely people comes up with
something better)... ::shrug:: I like making banners.

Peace & Love,
Elizabeth

Could one of you please write me some sort of summary
of the first part? After waiting something like two
months to see it, I managed to miss the first segment
(yes, I'm just *that* smart). Your help would be
appreciated and you would have my gratitude for the
duration of my next three lives! ;)

Peace & Love,
Elizabeth

Not to mention that I'm falling in love with him.
I've never seen the actor before, but I'll certainly
be watching for him now!

Wasn't it great? He did a great job acting psychotic
and creepy. I loved every second.

Hello to you both! *G* Please feel free to invite
anyone you know of who might intrested in joining (and
even those who might not be). It's wonderful to have
you!

Some questions:
I have begun a 10th Kingdom site at
http://www.geocities.com/v_wolfwillow (I honestly
don't know the longer URL... they didn't show me one!
It's freaking me out, actually. Is this some new
design flaw from Yahoo? I have so many pages there...
but I digress). What the Hades should I call it?
Certainly "Wolf Willow's 10th Kingdom Tribute Page" is
not acceptable. Any and all suggestions would be
apppreciated!

Actually... I think that's my only question at the
moment. I'm going to go scrounge for pictures now.
If you have any of the actors or characters or sets or
whatever, do send them my way at either
wilde_moon@... or v_wolfwillow@...

Thank you for reading so much!
Elizabeth
