BOSTON (WBZ) ? A 60-year-old actress from Gloucester told police she
is being harassed by the former Boston priest who stalked Conan O'Brien.
No new charges have been filed against Rev. David Ajemian, who
admitted to stalking O'Brien.
The local actress, Lindsay Crouse, told police she has been receiving
disturbing letters from Ajemian in the mail.
The former priest pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct earlier this
year and must stay away from O'Brien for two years.
Ajemian, 46, was arrested in New York City last year while trying to
enter a taping of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," despite being
warned to stay away by NBC security personnel.
Ajemian, who prosecutors say started writing O'Brien in September
2006, has been placed on leave by the Boston Archdiocese. He was a
priest at St. Patrick's Parish in Stoneham from 2005 to May 2007.
Ajemian was allegedly sending O'Brien threatening notes on parish
letterhead and contacting his parents.
Ajemian allegedly tried to contact O'Brien repeatedly over a 14-month
period. He was told to stop the communications but did not, according
to police, and a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Manhattan
District Attorney's Office.
Court papers say Ajemian referred to himself as "your priest stalker"
in one note and complained of not being allowed in to see an earlier
taping of the O'Brien show.
Ajemian is a graduate of Harvard and the John XXIII National
Seminary. He was ordained in May 2001.
JOHN'S NOTE: Crouse played Professor Maggie Walsh during Season 4 of Buffy
The Vampire Slayer.
